Researchers have found that how we think about thinking determines how we learn from mistakes. If we think we can't learn, we won't. If we think we can, we will. Makes sense to me.

Negative thoughts definitely affect our performance.
Unfortunately, the same doesn't hold true for our physical capabilities. On the inside, I can still do all kinds of marvelous things. On the outside ... well, let's just say I fall on my arse a lot.
