It's a busy morning of cooking and prepping ahead. The nearly no sleep and new and noisy neighbors made me a crispy critter at half-function today so I'm going to try to go to sleep again. But in case I don't make it back here tomorrow I wanted to wish a Happy Independence Day to those who still remember what it's about. And leave a bit of music to ponder if you aren't in a rush to anywhere.

Happy Independence Day, Austan!!!!
Isn't the day all about Will Smith? And hamburgers and potato salad? And red and white bunting on bandshells? And CAKE?????? (My favourite holidays all have cake in them. In fact, cake should be a rule for all holidays. I'm thinking International Women's Day should have a cake, maybe in the shape of a man that we can devour. And Earth Day could have one of those dirt cakes with gummie worms.)

Evening's just starting here, Austan, and we're spang between 2 Gurdwaras about 2 miles apart. You think native Americans like flying fireworks, you should get a load of the Sikhs. I'm on prairie-fire alert tonight, I'll clue ya. Hope you had a happy fourtha!
