It shows when you don't pay attention to the news for a few days. Things are funnier. Like this morning, reading a weather advisory which gravely cautioned, "...advised to use umbrellas – and the kind that won't be blown inside out." Now that should strike real terror in the hearts of humans! Rain so fierce it requires an umbrella! Wind so godawful it may turn your umbrella inside out! Maybe you shouldn't leave the house!
Then there's this, for when you just don't have it to finish an internet argument

In the 90s, this used to be a little xeroxed paper that bartenders passed around in NYC

And if the world is too much with you, you need The Onion

Yes I slept a lot, I'm better- near damn good, actually- and I'm about ready to fight the bastards again. Let the games begin!
p.s. It also looks like blogger is allowing photos and such again, as all those tools are back. Yay!

The world is too much for me so I peeled the Onion....great stuff. I feel much better now. Glad you are on the road to recovery and back to your old feisty self.
Glad to hear you're feeling better, and wow--that template... LOLOLOL! I always read all the comments to an article (I have a strange fascination for human behaviour) and it was spot on. ;) I love a good Onion!
Oh, and it's so sunny here, you may need to wear shades! Aaaaaah!
Lawless- a little onion often makes things more palatable. It's good to be back!!
Boo- Man, do we need to lighten up, things are much too dire to take seriously.
That weather danger was in the Guardian!!! of all places!
Thanks for the newsoftheweird. Never seen it before, but it certainly brought forth a grin.
Glad to be of service, TSB!
Wonderful humor sites! I've followed Chuck Shepherd for many years in "Funny Times" Magazine, but didn't know he archived work online 'til now. Thanks!
Lately the weather people are making a big deal out of even a simple rain storm. Everything is about creating panic and fear, as if there is not enough of that.
Of all the news today, the fact that you are well on the road to recovery meant most to me. And yes, at the moment I am taking the head in the sand approach because so much of the 'other/real' news is just so awful.
I'm glad to hear that you're doing better and almost feeling well. May this be the beginning of a long period of near normalness.
Sorry to hear you've been under the weather, (so to speak)but you're sounding downright sunny now. Good to hear you so perky and upbeat again.
Geo.- Welcome!
Arleen- Right on the head. Everything is to be feared, even our food, and nobody is expected to have any common sense these days.
EC- You are a real sweetheart. As far as news, deal with it when you can and let it be when it gets too much. Lately it's been just awful.
Moony- I could do with a dose of normal! :D Glad to read about your escapades lately. x
Susan- And your hilarious posts help me bounce back, so thank you.
