They Come to Build a Wall Between Us

I've posted this song before, but it's been on replay in my head all month and I guess wants to be here again. Don't Dream It's Over.

We know they won't win.

I sure like that song. True, the world comes in and builds walls. I've spent my working life creating herbaceous borders instead, and yet, I too am part of the world. Happily, I've built many gates as well, which can be opened or closed from either side. The most useful key is agreement, but too often we forget where we put it.

Hugs.
And hopeful thoughts.
Herbaceous borders and gates suit me much better.

One of my most favorite songs of all-time...I think we can all learn something from the sentiments behind these lyrics in today's chaotic world...

Hi Laura,

Ah yes, Crowded House, previously, the Finn brothers were in that band named, "Split Enz". Quite the poignant, timely song. No walls, only bridges.

Have a peaceful, hopeful weekend.

Gary, typing from the UK in such worrying times.

That's such a wonderful song, and it fits the world even more now than it did thirty years ago. (YIPES! THIRTY year? Time sure does have an annoying way of flying, doesn't it?)

Have a terrific weekend.
