Ack-centuate

Tomorrow is Positivity Day. I find it somewhat depressing that we've come to a point where we have to have a Day to remind us to lighten up but there it is.

I learned of this from fellow blogger and amazing example of being a good human Lenny of Lenny's World:
http://lennys-world.blogspot.com/2013/05/be-positive.html

Figured you maybe needed some advance warning of all the positive vibes running around tomorrow.

I'm going to actively commit myself to slapping on a happy grin and looking beyond everything to the humour of it. There is humour in everything. Well, there is if you have a cruel streak. For instance, I have been laughing like a freak at the Beest's allergy sneezes. The Beest is a natural performer and puts on a show like I've never seen a cat do in my life. Sneezing is an art form for her. She does the hitching intake beforehand and everything. She'll even do a half-sneeze in her sleep. The best sneezes are the surprise sneezes. When those strike, she may go for 4 or 5 in a row. They're the funniest, but I have to console her afterward because she seems so aggrieved that it's happened.

So go forth with a smile and look on the bright side. It's only one day, you can do it. :D

I could use a day like that as there has been a lot of sadness lately going on around the people I love. Things will get better or they won't but I know I have to breathe in all the good things that surround me and always hold out hope for better days.

I am away from home now watching my grandchildren but will be back at home and blogger soon.

Have a great Positivity Day, Laura.

Arleen- we need a day of not being quite so 'real'. Lightening up just now and then may be what keeps us going. No disrespect to whatever tragedy is going on, but just to survive it.

Enjoy the grandchildren!

You too, dear.

Indeed, Austan. There has to be humor. There has to be.

Oh I'm so glad it's tomorrow and not today....I WILL be positive tomorrow and I WILL laugh.

There is ALWAYS something to laugh at. Sometimes through tears, but it is always there. I am very, very grateful to have a big, fat and often black sense of humour. Without it I think I would have drowned long ago.
Have a wonderful (and positive) day.

Abso-doggone-lutely! There's humor to be found in just about every situation; sometimes you just have to dig a little deeper to find it is all.

It was a challenging day to try being up. The Oklahoma tornado is horrific news. No number of sweet reunions between dog and human victims can assuage what's happened. It heartens, but it's not really uplifting. But there is much to celebrate on any day, even the darkest. Sometimes the best laughs come from the worst happenings in life. They have to, or we wouldn't survive.
