Not a Minute Too Soon!

8 and a half days til Spring, hallelujah, yippee and woohoo!

I'm doing well with the turmeric (curcumin) as sole pain relief; much better than I expected. It also helps that the weather has been dry for a couple of days. We've got rain coming so let's see how it goes as the barometer drops. Getting through the last week was a "challenge" as they say these days. Pain does strange things.

Anyhow, I've been farting around at my desk way too much and have some Spring cleaning things to set up for Gal Friday's short visit tomorrow. I mostly wanted to share the head tunes that have been with me all day in hopes that a) they'll go away now and b) you'll enjoy them while Spring cleaning (or Autumn cleaning) too. Have fun, whatever you've gotta do.

Yeah, uh-huh, I got ya. You wanted to share those head tunes that have been driving you nuts all day, so they can drive US nuts the rest of the day, huh? Actually, thanks. Your tunes are better than the stupid song that was already camped out in my head.

Lady Jane. Love the Stones :)

Oh my, The Turtles. That was hand-holding music from the monaural speaker of my 62 Chevy. She went on to be a university history professor. As usual, I became a gardener. A prudent break-up, but when that song played, the future was immaterial. Magic. Aside from that, the video is silly --hadn't seen it. Thanks, Austan!

I wonder where they all are today. I would imagine that some are pushing up daisies. Isn't there a saying that if you remember the 60's, you didn't live, if you lived the 60's then you don't remember... Or something like that.

Hi Laura,

I've got to go clean my springs. Did you know that for the next two weeks, I'm one hour closer to y'all? Cause for celebration, I reckon :)

Ah yes, I do really enjoy all the music you have put up here. However, I'm not going to stop playing "Trilogy" by ELP at this moment :) I know you will understand.

You relax and look after YOU. Darn it!

I think it was, "If you claim to remember the 60's, you weren't there." - Dennis Hopper

"And if you remember the 70's, you didn't have any fun." - Robin Williams

All tunes I know and love. But goodness, how young the Stones are! Were they EVER that young. No, don't answer that.
I hope your pain settles and in fact, more than settles, leaves. Pain is a bitch. A sometimes all encompassing bitch.
I should indeed start Autumn cleaning. Soon. Ish.

Sorry about eh pain. Pretty soon Springtime will be here and we shall have nice mild warm sunlight.
Those videos bring back such youthful times. Little things that seemed little then, seem bigger with the music. Thanks for sharing.

Susan! Yes, I find that passing them on gets them gone from me! Hahah! Lady Jane can really go round and round... :D

Hi Carol, I do too, especially the earlier stuff (pre-1973).

You old romantic Geo. That's a sweet memory snatch.

Arleen, yeah, I think a good number of them are dead already. Though to see the Stones lately, you have to wonder if maybe nobody told them to lay down.

Gary, by all means play Trilogy! It's a great Spring record! I think this afternoon may be a Sgt. Pepper's fest.
I'm still recovering from the time change. Blasted stupid thing!

EC- They're the Strolling Bones now!
It's dry again today so not bad, and it'll be better after eating some turmeric. Thanks EC. You hang in there too.

Munir- isn't it fun that a song can transport you like a smell? It's very like Spring around here today and I'm rounding the corner into Spring Fever! :D
