Hey Laura,
Actually, it seems that this outrageous government over here, a government that targets the vulnerable and praises the corrupt, has been wanting to destroy our precious universal healthcare system.
Anyway, here's hoping you had a peaceful, positive weekend :)

I watched the first part of Bradbury's 'Something Wicked'... oooh that looks good. I'll have to make some time to watch all that. I'd love to see it on the tele in one piece, though.

Then I looked up the Flying Duchess. From birds to aviation, plus activism for women's rights. What a lady!

Let's see what else I can peek at here. :)

Is Gary in England? I'm sure Harper would do away with our healthcare system if he could. But Canadians would never stand for it.

Gary- And as soon as the already-compromised universal (not) healthcare bill is passed here, the rightwingers are out to kill it. It doesn't even go into effect for 2 more years, but they can't wait to abort it. I've just about given up on this country. It's all for the rich and we just exist to make their profits.

Hang in there, sweet man.

It boggles my mind that, according to "polls", the majority of Americans are opposed to the healthcare bill. Enough to put the GOP in charge? If the GOP has their way, all the social safety nets will be ripped out from under us.
