It's almost here. Things are all in order. One and a half weeks! Yipes! My only plan for the rest of the time (aside from keeping on losing weight) is to avoid all illness and accident. For that reason, I'll be covered in bubble wrap, lying motionless in bed, having no visitors who've interacted with the public starting Friday. I'm not taking any chances. I'm going all-out girly for this like I haven't done in years. Grew my nails, did the hair, makeup, everything. No hands in the dishpan, careful with the nails. Can't draw cuz the carbon blackens nails and paints and pastels dye them and I'm not wearing polish. So it's Act Like a Lady Week all around. Even though I'll still look like a Vermonter in a Connecticut concert, I'll be a Lady Vermonter.
This is really gonna happen. I don't think I'll really believe it til I'm in it. And one of those things in life that you always wanted to do, but which got put far down on the list because life was more important, will actually happen.
Life is surprising. And when it's good it's very, very good.

Ten days??? OMG Laura it's right around the corner. How are your nerves?
Wow, the time really flew past. (For ME anyway; maybe not for YOU.) Woo HOO! It'll be here before ya know it.
Hopefully, you will post some pictures of this event.
It sounds like you are feeling really good today. There is nothing like the adrenalin we get when we have something great to look forward to.
Lawless- Yeah that's how I feel- OMG! My nerves go from butterflies to not being able to swallow my coffee. Which is good for the waistline, so... ;)
Susan- It didn't seem that long! I know it's been 3 1/2 months, and it all started a long time ago looking back, but it's that weirdo accordion effect. Holy crap, it's here!
Arleen- Strider is the photographer in the family, and I'm sure she's gonna be packing for bear on this outing. And yes, there will be pix on this here blog. I know I don't usually put up pix and illustrations, but that's so my dial-up friends have an easier time of it. This, however, is Big Deal of Lifetime-y type stuff.
I can't believe it's 10 days, mi lady! And I'm so happy to hear there will be photos of this huge event. Wow.
Boodles- I can't believe it either. Think I can lose 20 pounds in 10 days? And get some plastic surgery?
Act Like a Lady Week.
:-)
I like that.
All very exciting!!
Pearl
Pearl- :D
It IS very exciting. Makes me want chocolate!
Remember to keep breathing :=)
The Act Like a Lady Week is something I would find challenging. Oh Drat and Tarnation does not seem to suit the occasions when ones feline friend has a digestive upset on the carpet and the would be lady steps in it.
TSB- lucky for me that's automatic.
EC- Mouth excluded! Ladies curse these days!
