Deer in the Headlights with the Tiger in the Spotlight

Well, there we are. Someone we know and love "adjusted" this shot to be a closeup and I love what he did. (Thanks Bunky!) I wouldn't call this series of pix the most flattering. But I treasure them. It's one night I'll never forget, a dream come true, engineered by someone who loves me. Under those circumstances I don't care if I looked like the Sea Hag.

I may get tattooed tomorrow. I have an appointment and a plan to go, but knowing how prior birthday plans have gone I'm not entirely counting on it. I dread birthdays, not because of getting older, but because of the BS involved. It's one of those things where other people have formed and promulgated plans and schemes only to renege on or ruin the event. For the last 3 years I've refused all plans for that reason. But the matter at hand is that I have a Sharpie signature that won't last forever and needs to be made permanent before it's damaged. We'll see what actually happens...

So tomorrow's the big day? Another year younger. Question...when they ink that signature are they pushing the chemical from the marker pen under your skin?

Kid, you look lovely.

Yeah, tomorrow's the big whoop. I think what he'll do (I've never had done a tat like this before) is take a pic, remove the original and stencil it. It's non-toxic ink anyway, and I know someone way back who just drew on themselves with a Sharpie and had it tattooed. I accidentally tattooed my knee when I dropped a Rapidograph point down on it years ago.

That is such a happy smile you are wearing. Love it.

Happy birthday for tomorrow. I tend to avoid mine as well. Isn't the age thing - I am mostly comfortable in my skin and wouldn't be a teenager again for any money. Late twenties, thirties maybe.

Good luck with the tattoo. Can we have a picture? Please?

EC- I'm absolutely in love, there. Just sitting smack in the middle of love.

Thank you. Birthdays were a big deal to me years ago. Late 20s, early 30s were great years.

Yes! Tats usually take a few days to heal and look their best. I'll put one up for sure.

I hope your birthday tattoo goes as planned. I wish I was the one doing it!!!!! :(

And, of course, family tradition stays true... lol

To be honest, you look a lot better than him.

What's he done.

Eaten an entire tribe of Pygmies?

TSB- Well, thank you.

I think, like me, Greg was on a steady steroid diet for a while. It's standard treatment for joint diseases. Just a guess, but I know the signs.
