Saturday Rummage Box

I've had news and things that I've wanted to post lingering in my email inbox for days. There's no commonality to tie it all together so since this is the first of the Great Yard Sale Weekends I'll just clean out my spare bits and put them all here for your weekend perusal.

Here is a local newsy tv show, this episode from 4 or 5 years ago, done during that Strolling of the Heifers weekend and just posted to YT. So many friends are in it that I had to promote it- Naked Brattleboro:

There, that's better. Rummage away; it's all free. Take what you like and leave the rest for the next fellow baby.

I like that idea of chipping us all at birth....got your drivers licence...just pop in to the office and have them remotely update your chip. But uh...what happens if the system gets a virus in it?

Canada is seeing a major change since (fascist) Harper took full majority. Everything's going "right" (wrong!), it seems.

"That's all folks" LOLOL! That's a great head stone.

I'm half rummaged. :)

Lawless- Too much abuse/monitoring potential for my liking. And it's been in a nightmare I've had for about 15 years now. So glad I'm mortal!

Carrie- I hope the protesting gets somewhere! There's too much "right" in the world.

Isn't that perfection? Mel Blanc was fab. Love epitaphs. I've a book of comic epitaphs in the bathroom. ;)

Austan, I'll comment on Naked Brattleboro --been watching grandkids 10 hr.s so not "wicked smaht"-- to the effect it reminds me of Berkeley 45 years ago. The sense of and commitment to creativity and local enthusiasm demonstrated in that clip made me hope your town hangs onto it. Too often, out west, it's been a dream that runs out of land. A commendable place. I understand you a little better now.

Geo.- Brattleboro, in all its strangeness. That was some years ago (the kid "singing" at the end is a friend's son and he's 22 now) but the flavor is much the same. It is, and I hope always will be, a weird little town.
