38 Days to Greg!

After all they've helped me in the last year, I didn't want to bug friends to put my new walker together for me. So I asked Gal Friday's hubby to do it for a fee and he said yes! (He assembles solar equipment for a living, a walker is a very simple job to him. Besides they're putting a new roof on and need every buck they can get.) So I'll be back to zooming around this afternoon! Yay! That was a long 3 weeks.

Today is Heat Fund Recipe Day, too. I made Lawless' blender pies last night (they looked and smelled wonderful- thanks, Lawless!) and Daryl will be here shortly to take them in to the station and chat up people to donate in exchange for the recipes. This may be the last Heat Fund show of the season, I'm not sure. If not, I'll have to come up with something for next month...hmmm.

This is also Fire Inspection Day. The Fire Dept. will be around to every apartment, checking for extinguishers, that our emergency cords are hanging to the floor, and that we don't have rags and oil piled up against the baseboard heaters. Never a dull moment. The Beest woke me up scratching herself. While awake, I got the cone and cortisone spray and she is once again beconed and indignant.

We had thunderstorms last night. Big rolling Springtime booms. A bit early, but there you are.

I'll be back with world news and other hoohah later. Just wanted to start the day off with goodness.

Yay for the new walker. I am sad that the Beest is once again ensconced in the cone of doom though.

Yay...you've got your land legs back. No stopping you now.
Hope the boys like the pies.
I have a feeling it's going to take the Beest a few weeks to unlearn her bad habits.
If you do need another recipe I think there's one on my site for chili and tea biscuits you are more than welcome to.

EC- I can't wait- my new walker!!! Well, it's a little sad. She has to stop the habit and this is the way.

Lawless- Never thought I'd be so psyched to see a walker!
Yeah, it was a bit too good to be true that she'd get over it so quickly.
Thanks, girl, you're helping the Heat Fund in Vermont! Well, I did a chili last Spring...I think I'm aiming for "feed six people on six dollars." I think it'll be a hearty soup thingy...

Yay! Your walker is here. Great news. I was meaning to ask about Beest. Oh dear. Mmmm, those pies sound good. Now I'm hungry...

Carrie- It was total joy to amble in The Shire on my new walker today. Beest is sulking. She came out to get sympathy from Daryl. Those pies are good! They were very happy in the station today!

I am happy that you will be steady on your feet soon.
