Having spent some time with the new walker now, it's obvious this is not a male. And it's more a burgundy than a red. This one's colors are black, burgundy and gray. Very Macy's circa 1980. The seat is a little high at 26" but that's fine by me. I have legs that are suddenly long to me again (as are my arms). But this isn't for anyone shorter.
So she can't be called Johnnie Walker Red. I've renamed her Helen Wheels.
Helen is much lighter than the late Mr. Walker. Smaller, more aerodynamic. The backrest is curved- brill!- and the basket can be hooked onto the front. I guess things have improved a bit in 5 years. It sure makes doing anything easier.
Seems the last year has been about valuing what I have. Sometimes by just realizing how much they mean to me. Sometimes by losing them. Good lesson.
A little more coffee and it's back to work. Sometimes unpacking is like opening treasure chests. But still no drums, no ladles!

More advanced and cheaper too. Can't beat that. I love your nicknames.
I'm sipping a decaf coffee as I write. Then yes, back to it. :)
Carrie- She's definitely a Helen. :) Man, you answer a couple emails, make a couple calls, post, and it's 2 hours later!! More coffee!!!!
So she's not Big Red she's a Helen. That was my moms name. Fingers crossed you find your missing items.
Aw, I'll be gentler with Helen then. I beat up mercilessly on the late Mr. Walker, but Helen is more efficient and less clumsy.
I'm still hunting for them. Where on earth could they be? Maybe I should do a St.Anthony.
After we had our kitchen remodelled a couple of things disappeared. We had to take everything out of the old kitchen and the marble rolling pin and bread board never returned. I have no idea where they are.
EC- Isn't it weird how things disappear? I once dropped a ring, saw it hit the floor and bounce, and it was never seen again.
