In 30-40 years, you will be able to buy a ticket to Mars. Yes, Mars, the Red Planet, home to the fabled little green men and setting of "Total Recall". Well, maybe not you, unless you're in very good shape both physically and financially. The fare estimate is around $500 grand. Which in 30-40 years will equate to maybe $100 grand now. Start saving.

I'd really rather go to San Francisco. There are some unearthly sights there also plus they have some really good restaurants.
In my grade ten science class, I read a book that stated that man "would land on Mars by 1977." These were probably the same folks who said we'd all be driving around in space cars by the 21st Century :)
Anyhow, what the heck, I shall start saving for that big day when we can find out if there really is life on Mars...
I don't reckon I'll still be around in thirty or forty years, but I kinda agree with Arleen. I'd rather go to San Francisco, too. (They probably don't have any good seafood on Mars.)
I don't imagine I'll still be breathing in 30 to 40 years but I'll be with them in spirit....to tread the universe....how exciting.
Men are from MArs.
Women are from some extremely weird 16th Dimension called NoBloodyLogicAndTooManyHormones
You must be the world's most prolific blogger (and high quality posts too!)
I will be an 'armchair traveller' to Mars and, in the unlikely event that I will still be here, will watch it on my TV.
I too would rather be in San Francisco!
Arleen- I just think of all I could do with that pile of money!
Gary- Remember "flying manholes"? We were all supposed to be living like the Jetsons by now.
Susan- I don't expect I'll be here, either. And were I to do something like that I'd want to be young and fit to enjoy it anyway. Yeah, I'll go to SF with you guys and have some seafood (while there still are seafoods).
Lawless- It really is exciting, isn't it? I've always wanted to go into space, since I was little.
bazza- There's just so much going on! And thank you.
I guess we're all going to Frisco!
Oooh, yes please. I've always fancied Frisco too.
Though I was kind of hoping that by now I'd have a robot to dress me in a morning and brush my teeth.
