Though my family in Indiana was left untouched by the latest round of tornadoes, there are many today who have lost so much. As in any disaster, some will rebuild and return, some will move elsewhere and start anew. The midwest and south are grieving heavy losses today. In Indiana they say the entire town of Marysville is lost and Henryville is all but gone. You can't look at these pictures and not realize the devastation.

At least 29 people have died and many more are still missing. The destruction of these storms has left a permanent mark on our country and people. Today survivors and rescue workers are searching the rubble. Here and there they come across a miracle, but more often not.
There are many vids here from a local station in Kentucky, where the twisters caused havoc.

Today there are more warnings in the deep south as storms cross Alabama and head into Georgia, the Carolinas and northern Florida. I'll be thinking of my family in Myrtle Beach and Jacksonville.

When it comes to disasters like this there is no us and them...it is all us. I have been thinking of them ever since the first round of twisters hit and will continue to hold them in my thoughts and prayers.
True. We're all in it when things go like this. I'm watching CNN and just saw footage of North Carolina, where twisters hit already today. Please be safe, Carolyn, Gene, Les and Sue...
I just found out from one of my Aunts in Kentucky that her future daughter-in-law has a 7 month old nephew missing in West Liberty, Kentucky. His babysitter is missing too. So, while we're okay here in central Indiana, my family down south didn't fair so well. Please send blessings their way. The baby's name is Cage Gillespie, btw.

Thank you. I've never met my cousin David (at least that I can remember). He just got back from Afghanistan a few months ago. These tornadoes have touched both sides of my family now. It sucks. But, I have to add a little bit of humor in here. It's freaking snowing today! :(
No matter all the technology we've have today, no one can stop these tragedies of nature. I have been thinking of them all day today, but I am also thinking about the lucky ones who made it through. Bless them all.
