Bright Light!

It's another sunny day, and the weatherbees have missed the mark again. They predicted temps in the 40s-50s F for the week. My front porch thermometer says 20'F, which means it's 8'F out there. So far they've been averaging about 10 degrees off every day. They're still claiming 62' for Thursday. Ha! Maybe they oughta call someone who lives here.

In the news... Oreo cookies are 100 years old today. Not all of them, just the brand. And-

My friend William took first hand footage of the protest in St. Petersburg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahGjTanuK08

Here's some background on that

This is just typical.

Are you middle-aged?

Oh boy....I've been middle aged for a looong time judging by these landmarks.

Phewf, I'm glad it's not all Oreo's... and the middle-ages thing is hilarious! Oh my.

Oreo cookies only last a few days in my house. They are one of man's best inventions.

It is supposed to be 70 on Thursday. Hey, I'll be happy with 60.

Interesting survey on memory. Did you take part, Laura? And *sigh* on Scotland. Why don't we all just move to India... hmmm.

Interesting stuff about memory research. I had heard all that before but I had forgotten it. (Am I too subtle for the room?)
Also, the middle-age stuff was good; I'm glad it's not just me.
And, finally, who uses Fahrenheit any more? The world is metric now!

Expecting 54 degrees here in Minneapolis this afternoon. Cannot wait to leave work...

Now I'm off to see if I'm middle-aged!

It is grey and windy here. Our weather boffins are good at predicting temperature, it is rain they fall down on.
It seems I have been middle aged for quite some time.

Lawless- you and me both, sister!

Carrie- Would we even know? They say Twinkies will last indefinitely... ;)

Arleen- Yeah, Oreos are on my Danger List. They won't be crossing my threshold for a long time. We'll see what the weather does. I don't believe anything they say anymore. The old guy down the block is a better prognosticator.

Carrie- I did. Though the scoring was skewed. It said I got 100%, which is of course bull. I know I hit the wrong answer twice but it was timed. After hitting the choices I realized they were wrong but you couldn't change the answer. So I'm not sure how valid any of it is.

bazza- Hahahah!! Well, we're not metric, so the world isn't! :D

Pearl- I'm ready for Spring! It's fine by me, I just don't put any faith in the weatherbees anymore.

So are you middle-aged?

EC- The sun is doing its thing but it's so cold. Even with the full sunshine on it, the snow isn't vanishing.
Ah, that makes at least 3 of us. Seems like middle age is a lot longer than youth!
