Riding the Paincycle

Once a month (and no coincidence there) my pain level goes through the roof. Today is that day. So yeah, I'm not up for much. Special K has brought me a bit of whisky and taken away a quart of pickled herring for herself and our Brian. It's my turn to get pickled.

BTW if anyone wants to know how to pickle fish let me know. I'll post the recipe I developed a few years back.

As for me, I'm outta here.

Oh man....sorry you're having a bad day Laura. Do you have any special relaxation techniques that help to manage the pain?

Pain is just so debilitating. I am so sorry, and hoping it eases soon.

HA! Sounds like a fair trade to me. Pickled fish for people-pickling whiskey. Hope you feel better soon.

Hi Laura,
I'm sorry I've not been commenting much, just lately. I'm having a bit of a struggle with depression.
However, enough of my crap. Here's hoping that at the time of my comment, your pain has subsided.
And um pickle fish. Thanks but no thanks :)
In kindness, Gary

I am not good with pain myself and tend to over-medicate - more is better and all that. However, now that I have learned the hard way, I try to toughen it out as much as I can.

I hope tomorrow will be a better day.

Thank you, everyone. There are days that the pain goes off the charts and it's best to have a couple of shots and go lie down. Since I won't use prescription meds anymore, I just cope. It's raining here now and I expect it'll all be better tomorrow. It's not so bad today, but man is pain exhausting.
