What a World, What a World

No time to chat much today, busy busy busy. It would've been my Mom's 88th birthday today, so that's on the family's mindscape. Aside from that, it's the details of life that consume the hours. Without further doodoo, here's some news items:

Are you serious? It would have been Dads 89th today.

Lawless- Tell me your Mom's was Sept. 7th and I'm pouring a drink!

No, it was September 3rd.

That's still scarily close.

The Pontiff's cologne freaked me out. Next we will be seeing him on billboards selling it. Truly weird.
Have a great day.

EC- I can't figure why a pope needs a scent of his own. Isn't he supposed to give up earthly things? Did St. Peter have a signature cologne? This is what little old ladies are tithing themselves for?

Hey Laura,
And with your reflective mood upon the anniversary of your mother's birthday, I send you peaceful thoughts.
Now then, I note, as of now, that Greg doesn't seem to have Vancouver as part of his tour dates. Perhaps I should remind him of the sell-out concert in Vancouver in 1973 when I watched him and the rest of ELP perform their "Brain Salad Surgery" tour. That was the loudest and one of the best concerts I ever experienced!
Take good care and keep smiling.

Since both my parents died, everywhere I am is in some small degree an orphanage. Here's to love outliving life.

No need for a poll, Santorum is a nut - and a rather scary one at that.

Not going into the Pope's scent, that is even more scary.

Gary- If you'd like to do that, I can give you an email addy to one of his staff. :) He actually likes that sort of thing.
And you take good care of yourself and dig for the funny...

George- That was perfectly and succinctly beautiful. Because it's a harsh truth. And I'll clink to that.

Arleen- Can you believe the crazy conga line they're running these days?
I heard someone today say the Pope already has a scent- old man head!
