I only woke up an hour ago, since I didn't get to sleep til nearly 5 a.m. Plans are being laid. Senator Jeanette White will be by to see me this afternoon. Here we go.
It's looking like it's going to hit land well south of us, and now I'm worried about everyone down there. The forecast for around here is rain but not like the band that will presumedly go across NJ and PA and head toward the Great Lakes. The radar looks like it's breaking up, though it's still a great big storm. And until it actually happens, nobody knows. Weatherbees are disagreeing over where it'll land, anywhere from the Carolinas to NYC. Some say that the rain will be the worst in the south, and up here we'll have winds for the worst part. That would be fine, too, as the leaves are pretty much gone. But what about everyone in Jersey, PA and everywhere else? The undependable GFS is calling for the center to hit anywhere from Norfolk, VA to Ocean City, NJ.
38 people have been killed by this storm in the Caribbean.
Well, all we can do is wait and see what happens. I have everything crossed for us all.

It would be nice if it would veer off back to sea....here's hoping.
If it will continue breaking up it'll lose much of its force. Let's hope. Hope a lot.
Price gouging already going on. Home Depot selling a $350.00 generator for $800.00, People loosing their minds on the coastal evacuation route (which we happen to live on). And I have to work tonight at Babies r us....We'll see what kind of run for diapers and formula is going on....
That's disgusting and shameful! And so typical. Oh, you'll be filling those shelves over and over.
Get enough politicians involved and they might divert floods, but you have to pile them right. Best hopes for mild weather, Austan.
Geo.- I know how they'd fit really well along the banks that nobody rebuilt of the watercourses that nobody cleared.
Thanks, Geo. Everything crossed on the east coast.
The weathereople here have us all in a panic. Home Depot ran out of generators yesterday and I am sure by tomorrow night the bread shelves will be empty. They are expecting that we here in SE PA to get walloped. I try not to watch the reports and am hoping against hope that it takes a turn out to sea. The high winds scare me the most and there are always the tornado watches to worry about also. This may be a rough two weeks ahead.
Arleen- it's shameful how they're playing up and on people's fears. The grocery stores here are out of water. Well, hang on a bit, there's water on the way!
Let's just hope against hope that it gets sucked out into the Atlantic on the subtropical jetstream.
Everything tightly crossed.
EC, if I could walk with legs crossed I would.
