The weatherbees are wound up again. Though it's just at the freezing point, our forecast is for a regular New England snowstorm. Remember them? It's supposed to start later today and go on through tomorrow. And we're due to get 8-10 inches by the time it ends, Thursday night or Friday morning. I'm not holding my breath. How many times have we heard this before this winter, only to get a little frost?
However, the midwest has had a terrible night.

There's much ado going on, including the Eeyore's Balloon of our local election. But I have a lot to catch up on now that I'm not so sore. Things to be done! People to talk to! Obladi, oblada, life goes on...

We are in the midst of what the media refers to as a "weather event" ourselves. Maybe it's our mess that's headed your way.
Other than the weather last night, I simply had to turn the news off, it was all and disgusting. I just couldn't deal with it.
My doctor wants me to get a new hip too but I keep putting her off...
I think this one may be the real thing Laura. We are just getting some needed rain and I am happy with that, but it looks like north to us will be hit with a big snow storm. I am sure the ski resorts will be happy for that.
Lawless, fellow hippie, perhaps we've waited long enough for them to get the bugs out of hip replacements?
It just started snowing here, Arleen. Those teeny weeny flakes. Hard to say if it'll last. I mean, the sky has that snow look, but I've seen it before and it petered out to being an inch or two...
Oh, I think I'll wait a bit longer Laura....there is something not quite right about putting metal and plastic inside your body and then having to watch carefully for any signs of infection.
I'd get it done today if it meant I could walk and be relatively pain free. But the docs insisted I be close to 60 before doing it. At the rate it's degenerating now it's possible they won't be able to do anything by the time I'm 60. Welcome to the US profit-based "healthcare" system.
Another news event for today - the death of Davy Jones! :(
They think a tornado went thru my old hometown of Newburgh last night. And, we had a wee bit of wind damage in town over night. So, we lucked out in central Indiana.
Oh, Davy. :( Sad news.
Well I'm glad it didn't hit you guys. I don't recall hearing about tornadoes in February, but I'm losing my mind. Maybe it's normal.
Well, if the weather prognosticators keep saying it, sooner or later, they're bound to be right. This could be the time. Here, it's still uncommonly warm and the air feels heavy. Ominous-like. No snow, though. (Better not! All my hyacinths are in bloom!)
You've got hyacinths coming up!? I love them!
