Happy Birthday Percy!

It's the 63rd solar return of Robert Anthony Plant, bard, singer, rock god. There is nothing much more to be said for him, he's one of those celebrities that everyone has their own opinions and feelings about. Led Zep was the gateway to coolness to my generation; once you'd discovered "Stairway" you were on your way.

Mr. Plant was also the object of first hormonal raging amongst many of my crew. I don't recall anyone wanting to marry him, though. He wasn't the kind you'd bring home to mother. :D

His voice has filled the holes in many of my own hardest times in life and I owe him much for that company. Not to mention those incredible nights at MSG that gave me my "Happy Place".

So cheers, Percy, we love you still and wish you long life and happiness.

I loved the band and the man. I must say though that for something like 30 years now I've been watching 'The Song Remains The Same' and trying to figure out what it means. One day I'll get it lol...

Please for Christ sake help this poor boy from Haiti.

Rory- Me too- okay now I'm gonna watch TSRTS again and see if I can figure it out again. Maybe we're looking for something that just isn't there?

Annie- Doesn't it seem like 40 years ago was just a few months, but a few months seems like years ago? I blame the Time Lords. :)

Note; I have no way of validating Majid Ali. Do as he asks at your own risk, as ever.

Rory- I watched it tonight. I think it just is what it is. They each picked a vignette to represent themself, including the great Peter Grant, and put a framework in of leaving their families.

Seeing Karac is still sad. NYC of 1973 is very nostalgic to me. I was too young and virginal for this tour. It was next tour that gave me my Happy Place. JM &Jesus we had insanely good music to grow up with. And we still have a lot of it on film, Lucky dogs in some ways.
