Future Shocks

Oh brother, here comes the future and ya can't run from it. A couple of these blew my mind clear away. Things that were in sci-fi tales are coming into reality. Things even sci-fi hadn't thought up are happening.

Google Goggles

Computer creationism

Wasn't this a movie first? ;)

This crowds my brain too much, especially after the above

And this explains why they want to give it more power:

Starting Over, Accepting Changes - Maybe said...

Everything is changing so fast, it blows my mind - literally! Just when my mind is slowing down, everything else is going by at the speed of light.

Aha, well those Google Goggles could prove a might distracting. Then again, I could pretend that I'm 'The Terminator'. "Hasta la vista, baby"

Arleen- I have to wonder if that's what my grandmother thought, as we do. She lived 94 years, saw the world go from horse and buggy to outer space. And look at all we're watching happen.

Gary- those things worry me. They're going to have to make cars autodrive, cuz we'll be killing each other left and right while driving. It's bad now; it'll be much much worse.

I'm waiting for the day they harness our brains and turn us into walking computers...those glasses are just the start. We are the Borg.

Oh I'm hoping I won't live to see that. It reminds me of that song "In the Year 2525". :D

You have to admit, this is an interesting time in history to be alive. The advances in nanotechnology ... the ability to "look at the past" with the Hubble telescope ... the super accelerator ... etc. etc. I NEVER thought I'd live long enough to see these things happen. Scary? Some of it. But mostly, very exciting. (I'm a bona fide science nerd.)

It's very exciting, Susan. But I see the way humans are going and it worries me.
