What Do You Do?

When you're irritated, frustrated and agitated, what do you do?
Pitch a fit?
Twist and shout?
On innocent bystanders take it out?
Or on those who've had it coming?

When you're fed up, bursting with freefloating ire, what do you do?
Meditate?
Dance and sing?
Yell a bunch of curses and throw something?
Or just sit and let it fester?

When every last thing jumps on your last nerve, what do you do?

I'm a sit-and-let-it-fester sort. The longer, the better. I'm kind of like a slow cooker that way.

However, sooner or later I put a good, funny movie in the movie player (just recently a Blue Ray Player: woo-hoo!) and get around to laughing (though many a decent western might have been watched first!).

Stew, shoot, laugh...in that order.

I don't know what works for you but I do something nice for myself, try to relax, forgive, and move on. Not always easy but making the conscious effort seems to help a little. The worst thing you can do is to dwell on things and let the steam build up. (Nice little verse by the way.)
I hope the sun shines for you tomorrow.

I'm terrible at expressing negative feelings, so mostly I pretend I don't have any. If I keep smiling and joking, pretty soon I'll mean it again.
