Later That Same Day...

A real nurse put thru a push with the dr to get me some detox relief in the form of a tranquilizer- 8 hrs and 2 phone calls from me later. It was my email to the pharmacy that got attention, when the pharmacist called the office and said something like, "She's going cold turkey off a big amount of opiates!!".

After spending a night of twisting and crying, throwing up, throwing bedclothes, hallucinating my dead husband was holding me, and getting about 4 hours' sleep all together, I'm pretty done with cold turkey. 4 years of narcotics isn't over in 5 days.

And hooray for that nurse and my pharmacy!!!

I'm steeling my mind, but the body shakes of its own volition.
