Occupy Everywhere!

Today there are Occupy protests all over the planet, from Australia to Canada to the UK to Tokyo. In Spain, Prince Felipe was invited to join the Madrid protesters:

Here's a photo collection from around the world:

In London, Julian Assange was at first kettled by police but pushed through the barrier to address the crowd:

In my home state, four protests are being held today:

NYC Occupiers keep on keeping on:

It seems it's finally happened; people are mad as hell and they're not going to take this anymore.
Howard Beale would be happy.

My friend, Kevin the black smith has been calling for a general sitdown strike for some time.
It's starting to happen.

Laura, just got back from Occupy Edinburgh (and Glasgow). Although not on the scale of many other countries, it gladdened my sorry wee heart :-) Power To The People!!! Thank you for the inspiration and encouragement X

Paul- I've wanted a general strike since the 80s. It could happen!

Annie- The People United Will Never Be Defeated! You're an inspiration to me, lass. I have to go check your blog, see if you wrote about it! This is glorious!

I promise to write about it in my blog... soon... today.

Laura, I'm worried about Rory, too. I've emailed a couple of times and still not heard from him - it's not like him.

Annie- Yay! I'm looking forward to it! And yeah, me too. It's not like him to not return emails. Very concerned.

A few weeks back he told me he was researching the latest on the economy and what the future held for us... maybe he's still busy with that and will be back soon explaining it all in his usual marvelous way - I hope so.
